Trade-offs
  • Banner logic is simpler than a dedicated bar app
  • No progressive cart-aware shipping messaging

What "Free plan available" actually means

A free tier with usage or feature caps, and a paid upgrade above them. The most predictable model in this category: you can see the wall before you hit it, and the free tier is usually enough for a small store.

Whatever the label says, the calculation is the same: a announcement bar app has to lift revenue by more than it costs. Our break-even calculator works out the lift you would need against your own orders and margin — for most stores it is a fraction of a percent, which means the subscription is rarely the real question. The payload the app adds to every page load usually is.
